A Few Good Men, the Broadway hit written by Aaron Sorkin and turned into a major motion
picture in 1992, opens live on the Springer Memorial Stage at Georgetown’s Historic Palace Theatre on August 16 for a four-weekend run. According to on-line information from Wikipedia, Sorkin wrote much of his story for A Few Good Men on cocktail napkins while bartending in the late 1980s at the Palace Theatre on Broadway. A courtroom drama, the play revolves around the court martial of two U.S. Marines charged with the murder of a fellow Marine and the tribulations of their lawyer as he prepares a case to defend his clients.
