According to on-line information from Wikipedia, Sorkin wrote much of his story for A Few Good Men on cocktail napkins while bartending in the late 1980s at the Palace Theatre on Broadway. A courtroom drama, the play revolves around the court martial of two U.S. Marines charged with the murder of a fellow Marine and the tribulations of their lawyer as he prepares a case to defend his clients. A Few Good Men is generously sponsored by Lt. Col. & Mrs. William F. Harrah.
